The Bhagavad Gita Studygroup
The Bhagavad Gita (which means "Song of God") is one of the world’s most read, holy and ancient scriptures. It's about the journey of consciousness, the awakening to the realisation of our true self, the universal and manifesting this back into the world.
The story is about Arjuna, a reluctant warrior, who receives revelations from his charioteer, Krishna. Arjuna is standing in front of a battlefield, looking to fight all his loved ones, relatives and friends. He is afraid to fight and doesn't know what to do, when he turns to Krishna and ask for guidance. Krishna is guiding Arjuna out of his state of suffering into the realisation and manifestation of his true nature, the Supreme consciousness, that Krishna represents.
We will explore how we can apply this ancient wisdom in our present day to day lives. Every week we study one chapter and meet online to share our individual experiences with each other. My experience is that this can be a very empowering and transformative experience which will bring more understanding to the journey you are on.
In this studygroup we will use the translations of Swami Sri Atmanada and the revelations of Sat Shree:
“My work is to show people how to collaborate with the natural maturation process that occurs when one is on the spiritual path. A process that, in fact, all of mankind is going through.” – Sat Shree

What participants share
"The Bhagavat Gita Study group with Anke and Ellemarie showed me the way back to the lightness one can experience when you realize and start to overcome the bondage we all live in. They offered an open and joyful environment in which everybody felt safe to share in total honesty. The pureness of those sharings for me, demonstrated the beauty of all experiences once they are accepted as they are. And also, I found it very inspiring to talk weekly with a group of loving people on the same path. Anke and Ellemarie will organize everything perfectly. The only thing you have the do is show up with an intention to be pure."
"Partaking in Elle and Anke’s Bhagavad Studygroup invited me to week by week experience this ancient wisdom – rather than merely moving across the letters and intellectually processing the words. The latter would most likely have been the case, had I read the Gita by myself without the weekly sharing in our group’s safe vessel. It was this vessel as well that provided me with an effortless, yet fulfilling practice to truly listen and provide space instead of mentally moving towards correcting, judging or otherwise reacting."
"Dear Anke and Ellemarie, I found that you have designed the sharings incredibly loving and structured and at the same time very gently. And at the same time with room for what was needed for each of us and you yourself, so well facilitated. Your honesty, openness and transparency have been a huge inspiration to me and have really taken me a step further in my connection with myself, my patterns and deep-seated stress triggers and view of myself and the world. Thank you very much for that and I hope that you can facilitate these sharings for a long time with many people."
