Being present in your body with loving attention
Do you want to start the new year well without cliché intentions such as losing weight but set the intention to treat your body with love this year? Do you want to be less in your head and more in your body and break through negative patterns and thoughts around your body so that you experience more compassion for yourself and your body? Then feel welcome at this evening!
In this workshop we invite you to connect with yourself and your body in love and softness. Together we will explore and embrace the relationship with yourself and your body, exactly as it is at the moment. In this way you set the tone to approach your body lovingly in the new year and to take good care of yourself from acceptance. Lines or striving for a healthy weight or ideal body image will no longer be necessary.
Who are we?
In our work as Body Confidence and Nutrition Coach (Anita) and Breath Coach (Ellemarie) we meet many women who have built up a negative relationship with themselves and with their body, something that you may also recognize.
As a result of experiences that we have had in our lives as a child, and that we could not live with at the time, we often started to distance ourselves from our feelings and emotions and we have taught ourselves to live from our head and thinking. With this we often (un)consciously push away feelings. We have devised all kinds of strategies to stay far away from it such as watching TV, eating, drinking, working, but also sports can be a distraction strategy to avoid having to feel.
In addition, we have developed negative (thinking) patterns, judgments and beliefs about ourselves and about what we should look like. Cultural and social conditioning play a major role in this and we all carry them with us.
What to Expect:
By means of meditation, (contact) exercises and a breathing circle, we guide you in your body and you experience what it is like to be present in yourself with loving compassion and to inhabit your body. This way you can let go of (negative) patterns and blockages and connect with your pure essence: silence, peace, space, softness and love.
